For my social communication app I will be reviewing Facebook! Facebook has been around for years. As a child I always wanted a facebook because it was popular. Facebook does not allow users under the age of 13. Facebook was a way to communicate with your everyday friends. Fast forward to 2019 and Facebook has drastically changed. It allows many more features such as private messaging, video chatting, and even the ability to play games that can be linked between friends.

Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerburg along with friends. But Mark is the most known because he is usually on the forefront and speaking for the company. Facebook was founded in 2004 and since then has grown to over 2.3 billions users monthly.

Facebook prides itself in the protecting the privacy of its users. Their mission statement is to, "give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together." The key features of facebook include being able to connect with people worldwide. You are able to keep up with old friends while gaining new friends int he process. Facebook allows users to post photos and their current thoughts. Other users are then able to like, dislike, and comment of those photos or thoughts. Sounds like a great app right!?

Well things haven't always been good with facebook. As technology has become the wave many bad things are making its ways to facebook platform and being shared amongst billions of people. Some of those things include child abuse, pornography, murders, and other distasteful actings. Facebook is having hard time monitoring these things to prevent them from further happening. Although Facebook has promised they are doing everything to remove these disturbing images and video from the site.

I like the design of Facebook. It is easy for people of all ages to use. It is mobile and user friendly. All in all Facebook is a great app for social networking.
